How large are the hidden pockets? Will a full-size smartphone fit?

Yes. Both pockets are large enough to hold a standard smartphone, cards, cash, and a folded boarding pass. Think of each pocket as a usable pocket, not just a card slot. The YKK zippers keep everything in place when you move.

Can you actually wear it three different ways or is that just marketing?

The customizable snaps make it genuinely versatile. Wear it as a classic infinity loop around your neck, drape it open as a shawl or wrap, or snap it into a loose hood. The 59 by 27.5 inch dimensions give you enough fabric for all three. It is a real multi-wear piece, not just a scarf with a claim.

Will the pockets look or feel obvious through a fitted top?

Not noticeably. The pockets sit within the folds of the fabric so the outline is minimal. On a very fitted top with the scarf wrapped close to the body you might feel a slight difference. With a loosely draped style they are undetectable.

How do I wash it without damaging the pockets or snaps?

Machine wash on a gentle cycle, cold water. Turn it inside out before washing to protect the snaps. The rayon-polyester-spandex blend is wrinkle-resistant and holds its shape. Air dry or low-heat dryer setting.
